Friday, October 23, is the final day to submit applications for the NSF-GFTC Food Safety Recognition Awards honoring Canadian food and beverage companies, individuals and allied trades who demonstrate leadership in food safety excellence.
The program, now in its fourth year was created in recognition of Canadian food safety excellence. The awards will be presented in February 2016 at NSF-GFTC’s Canadian Food Safety Forum in Brampton Ontario.
To be eligible the company/facility/individual must be located in Canada (Canadian facilities of international companies are eligible). Eligible companies vary by award.
The award categories are:
- Excellence. This award recognizes a company or designated site or facility with a proven commitment from the senior level management down to performance and continuous improvement in supply chain management and facility conditions.
- Leadership. This award is presented to an individual who drives food safety excellence within a company or within the food and beverage industry in general, and inspires others through their passion and actions.
- Allied Trades. This award recognizes a Canadian organization whose innovative products or services have helped the food and/or beverage industry achieve greater levels of food safety.
