The Food Protection and Defense Institute (FPDI) has developed a facility-based self-assessment tool addressing key food defense components of the 2011 Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and proposed and final rules.
The Food Defense Readiness Assessment (FDRA) package includes an online assessment of 20 questions, and an individualized report containing all of the online content with the facilities assessment score. With the individualized report we have included numerous food defense resources to be used as you develop your next steps to improve your food defense program. Users of FDRA 1.0 will have unlimited access to the tool through May 31, 2016.
FDRA 1.0 addresses four areas: preventative controls for economically motivated adulteration (EMA), focused mitigation strategies to protect food against intentional adulteration, management and operations for food defense and EMA, and industry/government cooperation from food defense and EMA.
For more information and to purchase the assessment packet, visit the FPDI FDRA web page.
