WASHINGTON, D.C. - A federal judge in California ruled that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's delay in implementing food safety regulations violated federal rules, according to a report from Reuters.
"U.S. District Judge Phyllis Hamilton of the Northern District of California ordered the FDA to work with two public interest groups to establish a timetable to speed up the agency's rule-making process under the Food Safety Modernization Act," the news service reported.
