WASHINGTON — The Food and Drug Administration has issued an import alert that approves the detention of milk products from China.
The alert, issued Wednesday, calls for “examination of all milk products, milk derived ingredients and finished food products containing milk from china due to the presence of melamine and/or melamine analogs.”
According to the alert, “Districts may detain without physical examination all milk products, all milk derived ingredients and finished food products containing milk from China.”
