ERIE, Pa. - Richard Ozimek, a buyer for Eriez Magnetics, has been awarded the Senior Professional in Supply Management (SPSM) Certification from the Next Level Purchasing Association. The certification has been earned by purchasing professionals in more than 60 countries across the world since 2004, the company said.
Ozimek joined Eriez in June 2011, bringing with him a experieince from previous employer Snap-Tite. While there, Ozimek held various positions, including machine operator, outside processor and planner, before becoming a buyer in the company's purchasing department.
The SPSM Certification program includes a series of interactive online courses which comprise six key aspects of purchasing: fundamentals, analysis & spreadsheets, contract law, negotiation, best practices and sourcing.
