ERIE, Pa. — Eriez introduces the advanced Model HFP Drum in Housing with feed protection, part of the company’s line of advanced and powerful drum separators. The Model HFP Drum is specifically designed to provide increased efficiency of separation by regulating material flow to the face of the drum. It also prevents material from plunging directly onto the drum shell, reducing the possibility of physical damage caused by impinging heavy material or heavy tramp iron.
The HFP Drum features controlled feed as well as discharge features. This innovative equipment has a nonmagnetic stainless steel portion to prevent the hopper from being magnetically induced. Eriez’ hinged, telescoping, fully-adjustable stainless steel drum splitter allows the end user to fine tune the separation efficiency of the drum compared to other commercially available units.
Other features include three inspection panels that allow the user to view the critical areas of operation inside the housing while the unit is in operation. For ease of connection to duct work, all input and output openings are flanged.
Additional options include a heavy duty design, explosion-proof motors, liners and special circuit designs for high-temperature applications.
All Eriez Drum Separators employ a powerful Erium 3000 magnetic circuit to allow automatic separation of ferrous contaminants and to provide the highest level of product purity for a wide range of dry bulk materials, the company said.
