Eriez has introduced its new Xtreme Metal Detector Enhanced Platform (EP), which it recommends for the harshest applications. Made for light industry applications, including food processing and packaging, the Xtreme Metal Detector Enhanced Platform has a completely re-designed, user-friendly interface that is ETL/CSA/CE approved, the company said. It is also certified for harsh wash down environments with an IP69K designation.
Other highlights include easy set-up, dedicated reject log and event log; its interface was modeled after today’s smartphones. The platform also provides sensitivity through its multiple frequency range and vibration immunity, with many configurable inputs and outputs to enable easy installations and the ability to add multiple options. Maintenance is trouble-free with the unit’s large control opening for easy access to wiring, Eriez said.
Multiple Xtreme Metal Detectors can be remotely monitored with Eriez’ 24/7 Remote Service Platform. When necessary, this enables the Eriez service team to monitor and analyze each system, as if the technician was standing at each machine.
The company has also advanced its rare earth permanent magnet technology with its Xtreme RE7 Tube Circuit, which is 13 to 40% stronger, as indications from independent testing by Pennsylvania State University is showing.
The Eriez Xtreme RE7 magnet circuit is available in all Eriez tubes, grates and liquid line traps. It surpasses previous models with greater holding force and improved separation efficiency providing a direct and positive impact on product purity and plant productivity, the company said, and the new RE7 products are available at the same price as the company’s previous rare earth products.
