eMeals, the first meal kit solution to integrate with online grocery programs as well as the first to offer nearly unlimited menu personalization with 100 new weekly recipe options, is adding the AmazonFresh grocery delivery and pickup service to the list of fulfillment choices. Subscribers can now send the shopping list automatically generated for all meals selected each week to either AmazonFresh, Walmart Grocery, Kroger ClickList or Instacart with one click and then schedule home delivery or curbside pickup, depending on local availability.
The new option extends eMeals’ strategy of leveraging the existing grocery supply chain to fill meal kit orders, providing ingredients in standard grocery packaging that eliminates the cost of pre-portioning, bagging, boxing and delivering ingredients in recipe portions. This approach – unique in the meal kit space – provides improved variety, flexibility and affordability to consumers while also creating a sustainable business model without the high operational costs of other traditional kit companies.
