WAYNE, Pa. — Deacom, the producer of the DEACOM Integrated Accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software System for food and beverage manufacturers, has introduced an online version of its business software training program, DEACOM University.
Using the Web-based platform, DEACOM University will reintroduce its live group courses, beginning with DEACOM Financial Statements, on Nov. 19-20.
DEACOM University Online was developed to incorporate quality ERP software training in a convenient delivery method. During the first day, participants are taught functionality concepts in a webinar format from an experienced instructor. Day two focuses on application of course concepts through a hands-on lab, where participants work with actual company data. The online format allows the instructor to conduct private breakout sessions with each participant, thus supporting the secure exchange of proprietary information.
"We specially designed DEACOM University Online to provide our users with a highly accessible training program that continues our tradition of combining personal instructor interaction with relevant coursework," said Jay Deakins, president of Deacom. "By offering both formats — classroom and online — we aim to make ERP software training a flexible process for our users."
Upcoming DEACOM University Online courses will include DEACOM Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) on Dec. 10-11, followed by monthly classroom and online courses on specialized DEACOM functions throughout 2009. Both classroom and online programs of DEACOM University are accredited by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA).
