Copesan Names Deni Naumann New President

Naumann, who replaces retiring Tom Moore in 2007, has held leadership positions in marketing, sales and business management with exposure from a variety of companies and industries.

BROOKFIELD, Wis. — In preparation for long-time president Tom Moore's retirement in 2007, Copesan announced Deni Naumann as its new president. “Deni brings with her the education, skills, broad range of experiences and personality to lead Copesan into the future,” said Copesan Chairman Alfie Treleven.

Naumann 's broad experience encompasses leadership positions in marketing, sales and business management with exposure from a variety of companies and industries. Most recently, Naumann held the position of vice president, Business Development for Essential Industries, a privately-owned company that manufactures and globally markets polymers and resins for industrial coatings. Her primary responsibilities during the past nine years have encompassed key account management; contract manufacturing business development; international marketing and sales management for Europe and the Pacific Rim; and operations to include Customer Service, Distribution, Purchasing and Marketing/Graphic Design.

Prior to joining Essential Industries in 1997, Naumann held a variety of leadership positions during her 16-year tenure with S.C. Johnson Professional, now JohnsonDiversey. Her positions included: field sales, sales training and development, product management, new business ventures, acquisitions and strategic planning, as well as Commercial Director of the Health Care/Education/Government business unit and Business Manager of a wholly-owned manufacturing subsidiary of JohnsonDiversey on the West Coast. She was also the integration leader for the Drackett Professional Products Division of Johnson's $1.2 billion acquisition of The Drackett Company.

Naumann, a graduate of Drake University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism majoring in Public Relations/Advertising, has continued her education through course work at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and the Graduate School of Business, Columbia University.

She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Outreach for Hope, a non-profit organization based in Milwaukee; and volunteers as a mentor, teacher and speaker for a foundation, several business organizations and her church.

“Deni will be attending the NPMA convention next week for an informal introduction to many of our Partners, the pest management industry in general and our valued suppliers,” added Treleven.

Naumann’s official start with Copesan will be on November 6th, at which time the transition between Tom Moore and her will begin.
