Westwood, N.J.-based Comprehensive Food Safety (CFS), a division of RK Environmental Services, has announced the promotion of Mark Dargay to director, regulatory compliance. Dargay has been with CFS since April 2016.
In his new role, Dargay will continue to forge relationships with key industry trade associations and federal, state and local regulatory agencies to stay on top of the latest mandates and changes to food safety regulations. During his tenure with CFS, Dargay has become an industry expert in the ins and outs of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), as well as other related government regulations. He has successfully transferred his expertise to a wide array of clients through consulting, auditing and training engagement.
“Mark has demonstrated excellent and diverse job knowledge and has shown remarkable adaptability and flexibility for the benefit of our clients,” says Hank Hirsch, B.C.E., president of CFS and RK Environmental Services. “His extensive experience in the area of food safety and regulations make him the right man to head up CFS’ efforts in this ever-expanding and vital market sector.”
Prior to joining CFS, Dargay, a graduate of Penn State University, worked for C&S Wholesale Grocers, where he held the position of senior director of food safety.
