CERT ID LC was awarded five stars by the British Retail Consortium (BRC) for the quality of its food safety certification services. This 5-Star rating is the highest rating issued by the British Retail Consortium, developer of the BRC food safety standards for food, packaging, storage and distribution. The BRC measures each certification body on key performance indicators (KPIs) every six months. These KPIs are focused on: auditor management, audit report quality, deadline management, protocol compliance, customer service and communication.
CEO Rhonda Wellik comments, “CERT ID works diligently to be at the top of the performance level within the BRC KPI program. Our reputation as a CB that provides certification services that exceeds our customers’ expectations drives the certification team to maintain our 5-Star rating. By maintaining this prestigious status as a CB we demonstrate to our customers that we are committed in providing our customers with 5-Star certification.”
To meet the demands and expectations of the global marketplace, CERT ID LC an Iowa Limited Liability Company continues its commitment to food safety by offering third-party food safety certification not only to BRC standards but also to the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) benchmarked standards, Safe Quality Food (SQF) and GLOBALG.A.P. CERT ID LC is committed to applying the same top performance services to its certification schemes; SQF and GLOBALG.A.P. CERT ID maintains its third-party certification through an accreditation process overseen by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). ANSI provides accreditation services in the areas of product and personnel certification. The Institute recognizes the competence of certification bodies to carry out these activities in accordance with requirements defined in International Standards. As an industry leader, CERT ID is aligning its certification programs against ISO/IEC 17065 International Standard; Conformity Assessment Requirements for bodies certifying products, processes and services. This standard will drive continuous improvement to certification bodies offering third-party certification and supports the efforts of the GFSI benchmarked standards.
