WATERFORD, N.Y. - Cascades Tissue Group has announced the U.S. launch of the Cascades Antibacterial Paper Towel, which the company says redefines the role of the hand towel in enhancing hygiene.
The Antibacterial Paper Towel minimizes hand contamination by killing over 99 percent of harmful bacterial almost instantly, according to the manufacturer.
"It's a first-of-a-kind product that eliminates residual bacteria almost instantly," said Suzanne Blanchet, CEO, Cascades. "While this is a groundbreaking innovation, the Antibacterial Paper Towel makes good common sense as it relates to human health. We believe the product will revolutionize the paper towel's role in proper hygiene because of its efficacy and because it doesn't require a change of habits."
The product was first cleared by Health Canada, and has now been approved by the U.S. FDA. Cascades said it expects the product do sell well in healthcare, foodservice, food processing and education industries.
