HENDERSON, Colo. - Birko has announced the enhancement of its Blend-On-Site System (BOSS) with the addition of an industrial PC for real-time monitoring of chemical consumption.
BOSS, which blends high-performance cleaning and sanitation products on-fite from custom chemical concentrates, controls the allocation of chemicals to avoid inaccurate mixing and overuse while generating valuable data for plant management, according to the manufacturer. The PC touch screean controls a main panel and electronically connects several remote panels.
AAs well as blending customized cleaning formulations, the BOSS system allows chemical usage to be tracked throughout the plant including sanitation, tripe, trolley, BLAST bromine, entryways, tallow spit, rendering, CIP and antimicrobial process aids, Birko said.
The improved BOSS allows users to customize formulas at both the main and remote panels, making it possible to formulate products which are functionally equivalent to pre-blended products at a lower unit cost, Birko said.
