Bird-B-Gone Introduces New Bird Jolt Flat Track

The new, patent-pending Bird Jolt Flat Track uses Monel marine-grade knitted wire.

Bird-B-Gone has made new improvements to the Bird Jolt Flat Track System. The new, patent-pending Bird Jolt Flat Track uses Monel marine-grade knitted wire. The knitted design uses a single strand of higher gauge wire, as opposed to bundles of thin wire used in braided and woven designs. This achieves greater conductivity and virtually eliminates breaks in the wires when installing the track in tight bends, the company.

The new Bird-B-Gone Bird Jolt Flat Track also uses a “tube-within-a-tube” design for even greater conductivity, strength and reliability, the company said.

Monel alloy is stronger than steel, resistant to corrosion and acids, and highly resistant to alkalis, which makes it ideal for marine applications and applications with highly corrosive conditions, the company said.
