“PMPs now have the most comprehensive, innovative control solutions available to them through BASF Pest Control Solutions, which combines the industry-leading businesses of Whitmire Micro-Gen and BASF Professional Pest Control,” said Keith Holmes, business manager for BASF. “We’re pleased to launch this new business by bringing four innovative solutions – and a more flexible outdoor general insect program – to the market.”
The new, nonrepellent Alpine line of products from BASF Pest Control Solutions features dinotefuran, which has been granted Reduced Risk status for public health use by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). With this status, the Alpine products provide PMPs three new lower-impact treatment options.
Alpine ant and termite foam is a ready-to-use solution for treating ant and termite infestations – and can be used with Termidor® termiticide/insecticide for on-the-spot remediation. Alpine dust insecticide provides long-lasting indoor and outdoor control of ants, bed bugs and stinging insects. Alpine pressurized insecticide controls a broad spectrum of pests, including ants, roaches and bed bugs.
“In addition to providing reduced-risk treatment options, the Alpine products are a great option for use with Termidor and Phantom in general outdoor insect control,” Holmes said. “An outdoor, nonrepellent general pest program from BASF Pest Control Solutions allows PMPs to get even more efficacy from Termidor perimeter application by rotating the treatment with nonrepellents like Phantom and Alpine. These product options give PMPs the flexibility to solve virtually every general pest challenge – from ants to flying and stinging insects.”
For commercial locations – including food handling – BASF Pest Control Solutions now offers Phantom pressurized insecticide, which sprays dry and clear, making it convenient and flexible for controlling pests like ants, bed bugs and cockroaches.
“This aerosol Phantom formulation provides enhanced efficacy because it features better bio-availability,” Holmes said, “which means insects pick up the active ingredient more easily, and the product has a long residual and fast kill.”
