BEIT SHEMESH, Israel — Tech magazine Red Herring announced that it has selected Atlantium Technologies as a winner of the Red Herring Global 100 Award.
The 100 winners named at the awards event were chosen from among 1,800 privately held, cutting-edge technology companies nominated from around the world. Red Herring’s year-long evaluation process examined companies according to both quantitative and qualitative criteria such as financial performance, innovation, management, global strategy, and ecosystem integration.
“After a rigorous evaluation process, we're very happy with the winners we selected," said Joel Dreyfuss, editor-in-chief of Red Herring. "There was a large pool to choose from and we're impressed by the caliber and innovative talent bursting from the world's business and technology sector."
Atlantium develops environmentally friendly, highly effective solutions for disinfecting water using ultraviolet (UV) light. The company developed Hydro-Optic Disinfection (HOD) technology, which delivers a uniform UV dose to the entire volume of water treated — a key criterion for totally deactivating microbes and water-borne pathogens. The company’s patented invention has been validated by third parties to meet the stringent requirements of the U.S. EPA.
“It’s an honor for Atlantium to be counted among the distinguished companies chosen for the Red Herring Global 100 Award. We see our company as continuing the tradition of Israeli expertise and leadership in the water technologies field, and expanding its growing reputation as a center for green technologies,” said Atlantium CEO Ilan Wilf. “Water-dependent businesses and municipalities worldwide are searching for water disinfection technologies that are safe, environmentally-friendly, promote energy conservation and overall, are cost-effective.”
