WINCHESTER, Va. — Ashworth’s Advantage belts provide significant air-flow. The lower air pressure drop increases a spiral systems overall efficiency — more air-flow decreases dwell times which increasing production and less air resistance increases the efficiency of evaporator fans, lowering electric consumption.
Optimum air-flow performance is achieved by Ashworth’s unique belt design and construction. Ashworth incorporates stainless steel rods, as opposed to pliable plastic rods, to provide the strength that is needed to increase the open area of the plastic mesh. In addition to increasing air flow efficiency, cleaning characteristics are also improved; in fact, the Advantage belts are the only plastic spiral belts to be USDA Accepted, NSF Approved, and BISSC Certified for cleanable performance. The stainless steel rods resolve other common problems inherent to plastic rod belts - beam strength is increased allowing the Advantage belt to support heavier loads without sagging; plus, less support rails are needed for wider belts which reduces friction and saves energy.
The Advantage 200 & 120 are available in from 1.5 turn radius and larger and are designed to operate in harsh environments as low as -50F(40°C) or as high as 180F(82°C). Rated to withstand 300 lbs of tension at 100,000 cycles, Advantage is the industry’s strongest plastic spiral belt that delivers the most efficient results.
