The American Meat Institute has unveiled an updated version of its country-of-origin labeling (COOL) Web site, www.countryoforiginlabel.org. Mandatory COOL is scheduled to go into effect on September 30.
The site contains a summary of information about the implementation of country-of-origin labeling (COOL) as it exists under the law as enacted in 2002. It details who must label products, what labels are required and information on recordkeeping requirements.
