Alchemy Systems has launched a new online training course library to meet the specific needs of dairy processing facilities, including those addressing the latest Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) requirements.
New regulations affect Grade “A” milk and milk-product facilities operating under the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO) and will have until Sept. 17, 2018, to implement changes that will align the PMO with the FDA’s final Preventive Controls Rule under the FSMA.
“Dairy processors need training and communications programs that help them meet FSMA Preventive Controls for Human Foods, GFSI updates, and the PMO,” said Holly Mockus, senior product manager for Alchemy. “Our dairy library allows dairy processors to engage their workforce in successfully implementing these pending changes.”
The courses include Introduction to Pasteurization, Milk Receiving Processes, Bacteria Basics, Controlling Salmonella, Dairy Handwashing Techniques, Personal Hygiene for Fluid Products, Promoting Dairy Hygiene, Preventive Controls for Dairy, Preventing Dairy Contamination, and Understanding Listeria in Dairy. The complete dairy library includes 129 additional courses on warehousing and driver food safety, workplace safety and human resources.
Alchemy developed the courses with dairy industry subject-matter experts and adult-learning instructional designers, and built them with dairy-specific visuals and interactive games to engage employees. “Alchemy’s dairy courses will help deepen employee engagement and ensure consistent training and tracking at all locations,” said Bill Rakeshaw, training and development manager at Bryne Dairy.
The new dairy courses are part of an end-to-end solution to optimize a dairy facility’s workforce. The complete solution includes learning and development, communications to reinforce key concepts, and coaching for performance. Visit www.alchemysystems.com/dairy-solutions to learn more.
