AIB International’s Leatherhead, UK, office has relocated to modern office spaces at Riverbridge House, Fetchum Grove, Guildford Road, Leatherhead, KT22 9AD, near the Leatherhead Town Centre. The Leatherhead office oversees the AIB International’s operations for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
Riverbridge House is ideally located, being just one mile from Junction 9 of the M25. It benefits from great rail links with regular trains and London is approximately 45 minutes away. For visitors arriving by air, Riverbridge House is approximately half an hour away from both Gatwick and Heathrow International Airports.
The U.K. office is led by Jeff Wilson, vice president of AIB’s EAA region which serves clients from many different countries. “From our new location, we are looking forward to continuing our strong relationship with the clients and customers we serve,” Wilson said.
In other news, AIB has introduced a baking process kill step calculator for crisp cookies, which along with kill step validation consulting services are empowering bakeries to validate their food safety preventative controls and accurately evaluate Salmonella destruction in bakery products. FSMA requires validation and verification of thermal processes to ensure product safety.
This is the fourth calculator developed by AIB with other calculators available for muffins, whole wheat bread, and hamburger buns. Commercial bakers can use these calculators to evaluate the lethality of a thermal process (baking) to destroy Salmonella in their crisp cookies and demonstrate the effectiveness of the process to comply with FSMA. The interactive calculator works by using the oven time and temperature parameters to automatically determine the total process lethality (e.g., 5 log) for Salmonella. If the desired log reduction is achieved for the baking process and pathogen of concern, the generated report can be used as guidance and supporting documentation for FSMA’s validation and verification process.
