Cancun, Mexico — The Food Safety Latam Summit 2024 is scheduled to take place April 29-30 in Cancun, Mexico.
The global event, dedicated to food safety, will focus on addressing the industry's most critical challenges and innovations through eight strategic thematic axes:
- Culture of quality and food safety
- Learnings from the new versions of approved GFSI standards
- Sanctions to certification bodies from the perspective of standards owners and GFSI-recognized schemes
- The need for more in-depth audits
- Challenges in complying with FSMA
- Smarter food safety, big data and traceability
- Incident management and crisis resolution
- Sustainability
Speakers such as Frank Yiannas, Sterling Crew, Tom Heilandt, Joaquín Nava, Damarys del Castillo, Quincy Lissaur, Itzel Castillo, Jessica Burke and Juliani Arimura, among other experts, will be part of the roster of specialists addressing these industry topics, offering insights that aim to broaden attendees’ perspectives on the regional and global challenges facing the food supply chain.
The Food Safety Latam Summit 2024 is supported by the main schemes recognized by GFSI, including SQF, FSSC, BRC, Global GAP and IFS, ensuring a focus on quality and relevance in each session.
Due to its interactive approach and focus on trend analysis, forms of learning and networking development, the number of participants are limited. Considering the regional origin of the forum, simultaneous translations will be provided in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
