QA Magazine Is On The Move!
QA magazine is starting off 2006 with a number of exciting new initiatives, all designed to benefit our readers, from a new column authored by veteran QA professional Ole Dosland to a series of advanced educational seminars on such diverse topices as “Building Proven Quality Systems” and “Food Protection in Grain Processing Facilities.” Dosland, president of QCC Services,Kansas City, Mo., kicks off his inaugural “Practical QA Solutions” column (page 56) with an overview of the many “hats” worn by the modern-day QA professional. It is the first in a series of entertaining and informative columns designed to provide QA professionals with practical solutions to their most troublesome quality assurance and food safety problems.
Another new face at QA magazine is Western Region Account Manager Jim Gilbride, who comes to us from Commercial Dealer magazine, one of GIE Media’s sister publications. We’re excited to have Jim on board, complementing the first-rate sales and service skills of QA National Sales Manager Michael Kelly, and Associate Editors Jodi Dorsch and Brad Harbison, along with Art Director Jennifer Pies. The addition of Jim to our ever-growing staff illustrates our long-term commitment to the quality assurance and food safety market, a market that provides an essential service to the American public.
Finally, we’re pleased to announce a series of seminars for progressive quality assurance and food safety professionals sponsored by QA magazine. The “Building Proven Quality Systems” seminars will assist QA professionals in developing and implementing quality control practices designed to enhance their existing programs and improve performance standards. Seminars are scheduled for Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago and Phoenix next year. A second series of seminars — “Food Protection in Grain Processing Facilities” — will focus on the latest food protection and pest management techniques at grain processing facilities. These seminars are scheduled for St. Louis, Minneapolis and Kansas City in 2006. To learn more about QA magazine’s seminars, turn to page 57 or log on to www.qaevents.com and review the seminar descriptions. You also can call GIE Media’s Conferences & Trade Show Division toll-free at 800/456-0707.
Speaking of conferences and seminars, QA magazine is pleased to be a media partner of the Food Safety Summit, one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the year. This year the conference is being held at the beautiful Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, March 22-24.
And best wishes for a safe and successful 2006!
