The Food Protection and Defense Institute is accepting abstracts for The Food Defense Conference 2018 to be held in Minneapolis May 22-24. The deadline for submission is December 22, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. Central time.
With emerging and evolving food threats from terrorism, economically motivated adulteration, and disgruntled employees, we must remain vigilant to stay ahead of intelligent adversaries. Professionals in industry, academia and government are invited to attend this conference to discuss current threats and challenges, and to identify food defense solutions.
This abstract call is for oral presentations concerning food defense topics to be held during the conference breakout sessions. Oral presentations will be approximately 30 minutes in length, and may be incorporated into a panel-type session including other speakers. Presentation content can include a discussion of research, food defense tools, and/or education initiatives.
Abstracts are limited to 300 words and should address one of the topic areas below. A review committee will evaluate all abstracts submitted for acceptance based on relevance to program content.
