HERSHEY, Pa. — Tröegs Independent Brewing announced the completion of its Perpetual Giving campaign, a partnership with Feeding Pennsylvania to raise funding and awareness for local food pantries.
In the campaign’s first year, the Hershey, Pa.-based brewery donated $23,491.75 to Feeding Pennsylvania. This amount represents a portion of sales of Perpetual IPA — the best-selling craft beer in Pennsylvania, according to Tröegs — during November and December of last year.
Encouraging Tröegs fans to “drink great beer and do great things,” the partnership is an extension of the family-owned, independent brewery’s Aletruism program.
“We were proud to work with our wholesale partners on this project over the holiday season to raise awareness of food insecurity in Pennsylvania,” said Tröegs co-founding brother Chris Trogner. “This donation will help support Feeding Pennsylvania and the great work they do with the many food banks in their network.”
Feeding Pennsylvania is dedicated to reducing hunger and food insecurity across the commonwealth. Its network of food banks spans across all 67 counties and serves more than 1.2 million people annually.
“We applaud Tröegs for prioritizing the issue of food insecurity in Pennsylvania,” said Julie Bancroft, CEO, Feeding Pennsylvania. “The Perpetual Giving campaign exemplifies the ‘neighbors helping neighbors’ philosophy and facilitates our work to end hunger in communities statewide.”
