LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. - GS1 US announced it is accepting applications from industry leaders interested in presenting at GS1 Connect 2013, being held June 10-13 at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort in San Antonio, Texas.

GS1's annual conference features several dozen sessions covering six key industries: apparel, consumer packaged goods, food service, fresh foods, general merchandise and health care.

Topics should relate to the successful implementation, use or adoption of GS1 Standards in at least one of the following areas: inventory and asset management; data quality, management and governance; traceability and safety; business-to-consumer and mobile commerce; and product or location identification.

"Speaking at GS1 Connect presents a rare opportunity for industry leaders to improve how business is done by sharing their expertise with a very engaged community of their peers and trading partners," said Terry Erman, GS1 Connect Conference director. "The goal of the conference is to bring together people and solutions to supply chain problems, and conference speakers have a critical role in shaping and communicating those solutions."

GS1 Connect 2012 attracted 1,400 professionals representing all points of the supply chain, the organizers said.
