With the continued spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) across the U.S. and the federal- and state-imposed restrictions on gatherings and social distancing, a number of industry events are being cancelled or postponed.
Following are event changes of which QA has been notified. We will continue to update this as we are informed of other cancellations or postponements.
McCloud Pest Invasion cancelled. McCloud Services' 21st Annual Pest Invasion Seminars which were scheduled for May in Hershey, Penn., and June in Oak Brook, Ill., have been cancelled.
Food Safety Summit postponed to October. BNP Media has postponed the Summit to October 19-22, 2020, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. The 22nd Annual Food Safety Summit event was scheduled to take place May 4-7, 2020. Safe Food California cancelled; planning 2021 conference. The Safe Food California team has been monitoring the COVID-19 news and directives issued by local, state, and federal agencies and has come to the conclusion of cancelling this year’s 2020 conference. The 2021 conference is planned for April 6 – 8 in Sacramento, California.
Fumigants & Pheromones Conference cancelled. The Fumigants & Pheromones Conference planned for May 12-14, 2020, in Victoria Falls Zimbabwe has been cancelled.
Global Health & Food Safety Summit postponed. The fourth Global Health & Food Safety Summit, originally planned for June 2020 in Singapore, has been postponed to June 2021. The Summit is a coordinated effort of the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), Confederation of European Pest Management Associations (CEPA), and Federation of Asian & Oceania Pest Managers Association (FAOPMA) in conjunction with the Singapore Pest Management Association (SPMA).
International Conference on Urban Pests (ICUP) postponed. The 10th International Conference on Urban Pests (ICUP) planned for June 29 to July 1, 2020, in Barcelona, Spain has been re-scheduled for September 13-15, 2021, to be held at the same location.
National Conference on Urban Entomology (NCUE) cancelled. The NCUE planning committee has made the decision to cancel this year’s conference in Mobile, Ala., and reschedule it for May 23-26, 2021. Registration fees can be applied as a credit for the 2021 meeting. If you prefer to be reimbursed, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Petfood Forum 2020 postponed. Originally scheduled for April 27-29, the Petfood Forum 2020 has been rescheduled for Aug. 19-21. The annual conference and exhibition will still be held at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Mo.
